In limbo, and that ain't a kind of dance. Yes, I think that's what the Imaginarium is turning out to be...I'm very guilty about it cuz I'd love to blog much more about right now, production time like last year all over again. Yet I don't have the mood to do it. I'm tired these days, and just can't find it possible to put everything that happened into words. Anyway just for the record, we open officially tomorrow evening...we're all psyched up, so here's to a good show! *glasses clink* Cheers...

and we'll be back after this short commercial break. *bzzt*

You set a new record today.
I picked up the gun,
clean and untouched, smooth and snug in my fingers,
asking to be used, and raised it to fire.
I was told never to use it.
They never knew I already had.
And again the silver bullet wasn't for me, it was meant for you
and again I had a clear shot. I could
take you down, as I had countless times before
bullet after bullet after bullet
the first crack like frozen air, then the mercury hiss of movement.
This would be nothing different.
You'd died before, and would many times more
rise again to suffer that same moment, ad infinitum
of the bullet
tearing through skin, muscle, bone, heart.
But who knew that this would be different?
Silver bullet screams through unravelling air,
grazes the wind, and then who could have seen it?
I didn't.
Close my eyes, open them again,
and I am where you stood,
dead centre,
dumbly, helplessly watching its approach,
wondering, for a split second, at the
inevitable, ultimate conclusion I knew it would all concatenate in.

You set a new record today.
Bang. And in a blink I saw me fall.
Dead in a minute thirty-six.

Matrix Reloaded. Finally saw it. Well, that's all I can say now. There's little else on my mind except this incredible sense of helplessness, that I've lost something irreplaceably valuable, that had the potential to be so much more. It's all gone, and I can do nothing to stop it. And time passes and the years go by, and the feeling ebbs and flows but is always there.

And who would have thought old tears still taste so bitter.

Look out below!!! Truckload of art!! *ducks* And yes of course, the all-important NUDITY WARNING!!! *Sirens blare*

Hmm hmm, first up...X-men need X-support! :D Doodled during geography...I seem to do all my best works then. ^^;;Erk! Not much of an X-men person but someone was like, "Draw an X-man!" So I obliged. :)

And continuing the fanart roll, catwoman:

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's the cat-balloon in the corner, filling space! :P

The fun never ends! Matrix doodles I did in class today, again in Geography. This is getting disturbingly addictive. Oh dear.0_o

The Greek/Roman Pantheon of gods, with a modern twist. Their names are clear enough, and the main character is Mercury, the delivery boy of the gods! I really like how this one turned out...done after a lengthy drawing slump.:)

China markers be fun!! :) I loved those things when I was little...used to peel and peel the paper covering and put the shavings in my hair. :D They're these wax-crayon-like sticks wrapped in paper, and you sharpen them by pulling this little string down.

Beauty! Art deco style...

Rather obiang, laaah, but what the heck lah hah. Street style.

Whew!! My brother's friends are over for the night. It's gonna be a long evening. *_* Stay tuned, googly boys and girls...

Look! See Vivvy when she was still a cute little mushroom! At age 2:

This one was taken when my dad was going off on one of his many business trips...I used to miss him so badly that when he was packing at that time I decided to make his job a little more tricky. :P

Whee, mindless posts!

And yay it's confirmed, I got my C for the 2.4km run! Satisfied. :) Next up, 5 items...urgh. How fun.

Tell me doctor, do you like the circus? This is what Mr Burge would call a Hardean Irony (oh, the excruciation of it all!), that a mere 12 hours before Singapore can get the SARS-all-clear, we get one case that pops up. Gaaah. *_* Or yes, more correctly, it is by the ordination of His will. :) Always have to remember that bit. It's easy to get rather confused about it all when you're doing Hardy though. Scared myself once while having one of those periodic debates with myself; suddenly I felt myself slipping into Thomas Hardy's world, where everything that happens in your life is simply up to the indifference of chance; there is no fate, no destiny, no God who has a purpose for your life who engineers the concatenations of events in it, only co-incidence upon the toss of a coin that somehow, will always show heads rather than tails, up to 92 times in a row. Yes, now I'm mixing up my lit texts...guess source 2! No takers? C'mon, you'll get a pat on the head and you can pay me $15 for your brilliance. Ok, you are now thoroughly confused. Hurrah.

Might as well put a plug in here, fwiendy-poos. Anybody wanna buy a Playstation 1 for $150? Do it to support the "Feed the Vivienne" fund! She gets 10% commission if she can find a buyer! Yes, it's an astronomical price but maybe you'll be taken by this heartfelt plea and make a...gaah where am I heading with this? No clue. Ok, plug off.

>_< Eyes itchy, can't scratch, have lenses in. Considering actually getting off my butt to exercise, but I have no clue what to do. Or maybe just a good corset is in order, or a whole shipment of bedsheet-like billowy garments that make you look like you could be stuffed on the top of an old voyage ship with men yelling "hoist her up lads, ahoy in front and avast behind" as they jump around like choleric monkeys. I don't know how a choleric monkey behaves, I've never seen one before but I assume that's how they act. At least that's how they'd behave in Vivienne's World. Here, have a 3-day pass, maps available at the tourist information centre, and keep all hands and arms inside the vehicle at all times, the lions can be rather over-amorous at this hour.

*crazed laugh, sob* Geez, I'm really losing it now. 12 days to production...

Fast Car
::Tracy Chapman::

You got a fast car
I want a ticket to anywhere
Maybe we make a deal
Maybe together we can get somewhere

Anyplace is better
Starting from zero got nothing to lose
Maybe we'll make something
But me myself I got nothing to prove

You got a fast car
And I got a plan to get us out of here
I been working at the convenience store
Managed to save just a little bit of money
We won't have to drive too far
Just 'cross the border and into the city
You and I can both get jobs
And finally see what it means to be living

You see my old man's got a problem
He live with the bottle that's the way it is
He says his body's too old for working
I say his body's too young to look like his
My mama went off and left him
She wanted more from life than he could give
I said somebody's got to take care of him
So I quit school and that's what I did

You got a fast car
But is it fast enough so we can fly away
We gotta make a decision
We leave tonight or live and die this way

I remember we were driving driving in your car
The speed so fast I felt like I was drunk
City lights lay out before us
And your arm felt nice wrapped 'round my shoulder
And I had a feeling that I belonged
And I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

You got a fast car
And we go cruising to entertain ourselves
You still ain't got a job
And I work in a market as a checkout girl
I know things will get better
You'll find work and I'll get promoted
We'll move out of the shelter
Buy a big house and live in the suburbs
You got a fast car
And I got a job that pays all our bills
You stay out drinking late at the bar
See more of your friends than you do of your kids
I'd always hoped for better
Thought maybe together you and me would find it
I got no plans I ain't going nowhere
So take your fast car and keep on driving

You got a fast car
But is it fast enough so you can fly away
You gotta make a decision
You leave tonight or live and die this way

Maaan. I could be watching X-Men 2 today if my friends had waited last week. Hell, I don't know if my family will ever get round to buying tickets for Matrix Reloaded. I might as well have taken up brudder's offer to go see it today. At least I'd be guaranteed a chance to watch it. I could go run my errands in town, buy stuff for production. I could just wait for the S-History and S-Econs people to get out of class and go for lunch with them even. In short, all the things I could be doing with a good Friday afternoon and I suspect, my last free Friday afternoon for quite a while. But noooooooooo, what happens? Currently I'm stranded at home with no lunch, and no life. Some way to burn a perfectly good weekend, and a mother making a fuss about rehearsals tomorrow because they've messed up plans for lunch. It's not like I purposely arranged to have rehearsals at that time or anything. Geez. And she's all acting like it's my fault, that I deliberately made sure rehearsals were then so that I could with all malovence ruin the plans she's set up for so long. Needless to say, I'm in a perfectly terrible mood.

When queens pick their noses they do it by a cerebral process passed down through the blood. Hardly had time to blog, firstly cuz of rehearsals becoming more frequent and the growing guilt complex I'm developing about not studying enough. And yeah, well I guess most importantly because my brother's been hogging the computer room and computer the entire week. So there. Anyhoo nothing to say. Blum. Ha. Moo. Baa.

Oh yes, and Happy Mother's Day! What did you do for mummy today? :) Made dinner with brother, failsafe items like pasta and garlic bread. I have to expand my menu. There's more to life than pasta! Nonetheless it tasted pretty good if I dare say so, we used one vegetable and one meat sauce base and added sundried tomatoes and tuna to it. A very rich, tasty concoction of a spaghetti sauce. Pity I was too full from tea to enjoy it...scarfed a leftover slice of chocolate pie from yesterday's outing to Burger King which I had no time to eat. Looked a funny colour and tasted mildly alcoholic. *hic* Whee.

Happy Monday tomorrow. *yawns* Death by pasta...

Feel un-unique. There's another Vivienne lurking around on the net. I know this sounds absolutely stupid, but that's my name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :( :(

Beautiful and Disturbing. There's no other way to describe the Animatrix...it has to be one of the most visually stunning movies I've ever seen, really breathtaking. What unsettles me though is not so much the violence, with limbs flying and faces exploding et al...it was the ideas, the tone, the mood, the attitude. It seeks to inspire as it seeks to damn and disturb. Lots to think about, lots to recall.

I think it's gonna keep me up tonight. *_*

Either way we were stranded in the front row of a packed cinema. Whoda thunk so many people'd wanna watch? I though it's a fangeeks only thing. Well, seems there's more of us out there than I reckoned, at least enough to cram a small theatre. *_* Neck aches, eyes spinning, I think the screen sapped my essence. Lethargy...

*wails* Maann...because of the computer being reborn (that is, rebooted and begun again afresh) I have to reinstall my Photoshop and Graphire Tablet software. And as though that's not hassle enough, I can't find my Graphire software disc!!!! :( Then there's no way I can work my tablet at all, short of borrowing the software from someone else or hunting down a pirated version. The problem however is that I don't know anyone who uses a Wacom Graphire Tablet (at least I don't think so), and I'm guessing it's not easy to buy just a loose edition of the software, without the tablet with it. :( Photoshop is easy stuff, if I can't find my disc I can just go buy another, but the tablet is a bigger problem, and it's going to make me rather miserable. I'm useless at photoshopping without my tablet!!!! *wails again* It really is upsetting me...to have to reinstall the whole lot of crap before I can even put up images like I did before. This really sucks.:( :( :(

Hurrah though! With any luck, if all goes well, I'm watching ANIMATRIX tomorrow!!! :D :D :D Some consolation, that. :) *takes the opportunity to gloat at Siah* Ha!>:P

What the hell happened with blogger?! A perfectly good entry gone. >:( At any rate the 2.4km run completely wiped me out, and I'm not even sure I got my gold to show for it. :/ I'm estimating I came in between 15:50 mins to 16:02 minutes, and the silver grade starts from 16:01 mins! >_< If I missed it by as narrow a margin as I've calculated I will scream blue murder. Just one second more and I would've got my C grade, the minimum requirement to get the gold standard. If I miss gold for this item, there's no point in me trying for any of the other 5 items. Your grade for NAPFA is simply determined by the lowest grade you got on any item, and that would be a silver, pat. It's rather ludicrous, this system. I know it's to encourage all-round fitness, but is it really fair? Some one could score A-grades in 5 categories, and then get E for the last and still get a bronze overall. Some vague injustice lurks in that. Anyhoo I'll prolly end up running again if that's the case, and all to shave off what, 2 seconds from my timing. 6 painful rounds round the track just to lower my time by 2 friggin' seconds. >_< Well, yes, Vivienne's stupid and Type-A enough to. Ta da.

Gaah, looks like we'll have to defer our X-2 movie outing...none of us can make it tomorrow. Moved till next Monday, but time is always so tight! Something always cropping up. It was precisely because we just had rehearsals set for tomorrow that our little field trip had to be postponed, and I hope nothing gets in the way for next Monday. I'm not as crazy about X-men as I am about The Matrix (insert squealing and jumping here), but hey, everybodday loves a bang'em smash'em flick with weird characters in black leather. Hey, that sounds like the Matrix. Ah, whatever. Anyhoo tickets are cheaper on Mondays! *happy dance*

Hurrah, managed to burn time till 6. TV hour!!! *limps off* Damn muscle aches setting in fast.

Iris
::The Goo-Goo Dolls::

And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest thing to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything seems like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know you're alive

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

Orville, we have liftoff! Hurrah! I'm blogging from the good old mainframe computer once more. Pardon the jargon, I'm shifting into Matrix gear in preparation for May 15th!!!! No prizes for guessing what that day shalt hail, but don't tell me it's Hug-a-Mouldy-Pizza day because I will roundly trounce you. Well, somehow. :P *twitch twitch* Anyhoo, the only things that work on this computer currently are Internet Explorer and Microsoft Word, but I can't scan, can't print, can't Photoshop, can't do nuffink else with this fing. Aw well, it's a start...hopefully everything was saved...*closes eyes and prays fervently*

Work piling up again...production has to go into overdrive (ha, there I go again)soon, and I've got a math lecture test coming up, S-geog essay outlines to complete and a production poster layout to cook up by Wednesday, by hook or by crook. May have to resort to the old cut-and-paste method, I am digitally incapacitated for the time being. And the possibility of the 2.4 km run this Thursday!!!! Argh!!!! :( :( :( Hate running...still hate it...yuckyuckyuck...I get chest pains when I run nowadays, me no likee. Will Vivienne live to recount the tale? Will she return victorious, having managed to narrowly scrape through with a C grade? Stay tuned!! Yeah yeah yeah, of course any self-respecting NS serviceman or sports buff would scoff, like, what's this kid whining about, just 6 widdle rounds round the track? Gee, no sweat, I can do it running backwards et al. Ngaah, go run then, you masochistic adrenaline junky freaks! Get lost!! Skaaaaa!!!! *waves arms and collapses into a puddle* But I guess if I had to choose between running laps and taking a test, I'd go for laps. Sigh. Well at least you're not graded for them. Aww, the mentality of the Singaporean student emerging! How cute. Well. Yup.

Jiamin, Regina, Geri, et al! Hey girls, if you want tickets for our production, do let me know ASAP! Ok, might as well give the details for one and all.

Rumours -- A comedy by Neil Simon (an American. Ok, unnecessary detail.)
Very funny comedy.
30th and 31st May
7.30pm
TCHS Drama Centre

And the best part...*drumroll please*...it's only 8 smackeroos! Yesiree, ma'am, that's all you need to enjoy the company of fwiendy-poos in a prime theatre and 2 hours of solid entertainment put up by more fwiendy-poos! It will be good, I promise...you can go through me or through the *ahem* liason officers (read: Peon Juniors Who Shalt Do Our Bidding) who will come to your schools I think early next week. Look out for them, and be nice, pleease! :) They be our good kiddies. :)

Right so much for damaged PR and deteriorating English, I'd best go back into hiding. Maaagh!! *dives behind table to avoid a barrage of blind skunks*

In the falling spinning maze of your mind,
things aren't always what they seem.
Take back the child he has stolen from ye,
For over you he wields no power, in his thousand illusions,
his magic crystals, his grinning mask.
Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered he has yet to take ye,
for it is not in his tricks or his games
but in your eyes where cruelty lies
where he is your slave, more like man than king of goblins,
so he wields no power over you.
Search ye through the Labyrinth
take back what is rightfully yours

Ahoy in front and avast behind! *waves* hey Shireen! How could I forget class chairwoman? ;) How'd you find me? Anyhoo glad to know we're doing fine...any word on a class reunion or anything of the like? Keep me posted! :)

Actually studied today, hurrah. At least I hope I did. Buy lottery on it, for the first time in HCJC production history we're having a Sunday rehearsal! Tomorrow afternoon in school. Goes to show how desperately in need of practice we are, to have to resort to Sundays...

Somehow I think I still prefer the production experience of last year. Don't quite know why. Perhaps I put more of my heart and soul into it, because I had no exams looming over my head, and it was the first time I'd been involved in a performance so big, and so exciting. It was new, it was great, and for what I got out of it, it was special. This year? I won't deny it's a funnier play, and reheasals are a riot still, but there's something lacking as compared to last year. The story this year lacks a heart as compared to last year's, about social satire, marital fobiles, and gently humourous caricatures. Rumours has got couples, but chemistry isn't really required, because it's more or less just a madcap farce with humour from the situation rather from character development. Perhaps we've just had too few rehearsals. Perhaps I don't feel that much of an affinity for the actor playing my other half this year. Production bonds and friendships are usually what make a good show for me...it happened with our SYF play in Sec 4, and last year too. But things can change, yes. There's still...erk...exactly 3 weeks to go. Oh dear. Not terribly reassuring...well we'll do the best we can! Raaar!!

*yawnage* Fatigued. I blame the pasta. *burp* Large quantities of spaghetti at night are baad for the system...*_* *oozes off*

Head in the clouds
Vivienne Wong was hatched on the 12th of June 1985 and hails from Singapore, which contrary to popular belief, is not a colony of Japan. Formerly of Raffles Girls' Primary and Secondary School and then of Hwa Chong Junior College's Humanities Scheme, she is currently readjusting herself to the finer points of academia (read: she hasn't studied in ages and is really overworked) in her 2nd year at Nanyang Technological University Communication Studies. However she is currently spending the semester on the snowy plains of Ithaca College, New York, and lovin' it. Otherwise, she likes talking about herself in the third person, drawing, acting, comics, watching cartoons, eating Italian food, light rock, Irish music, Broadway tunes, acoustic guitar riffs, drawing some more and singing loudly in the bathroom. On the other hand, she dislikes unmotivated people, afternoon naps, the conventional, and people who are either smelly or wearing clothes too tight for them so that they end up bulging. Contactable here.
