Blind Warrior Jedi.

And her head's too big, now that I realize it. Argh...

Made up her story. She was a reckless young Jedi at Luke Skywalker's Jedi academy, from some warrior planet that coincidentally gets their warriors to dress remarkably like Samurai. Hmm. Anyhow she was a hotshot star pilot, ran away to join the Imperial Academy for Pilots and in training, she was blinded in an accident. While blind, Anakin Skywalker (The Ex-Darth Vader) came to her in a vision, and convinced her to return to the light side of the Force. She then escaped from the Imperial school, relying on the Force as her eyes, and returned to Luke's Jedi academy. She had a chance to regain her eyesight but chose to be blind for the rest of her days, so that she would learn to rely almost entirely on the Force to live, and become a stronger Jedi Knight. The End!

Her name is Sh'arra Khal. And those things in her hands are not flashlights, she wields two mini lightsabres like handheld daggers...maybe I'll CG them in sometime.

The size of her head is grossing me out. >_<

Hi Mr Burge, this is Vivienne (haha, does the name ring a bell?), just like to check, which of my Yale early action forms did I pass to you? I have a funny feeling I may have gotten them messed up. Is it also possible for you to check which ones Mr White got as well? Thank you!

regards,
Vivienne

Booga wooga. I have to find some way not to wake up half grogged in the morning after my late night/unearthly hours of morning studying regime. Slept at 4.30 this morning, mummy insisted on waking me up before 9. Durrr.>_< Agh what is it?13 days to go, and it's a beautiful Tuesday afternoon and I'm using a new keyboard. Yup, I don't know what's up with my dad and brother, but they're computer nuts, everytime there's a fair somewhere they'll always compulsively buy back some thing that sits in the family room and collects dust. This is one of their more useful finds, a keyboard that comes with this cool boxy...thingy... from Acer. I think it may be more disc space, but then with my paltry knowledge of technology it could be a coffee maker for all I know. Or a cup holder. Or a friggin' expensive paperweight. Ah, the possibilities are endless.

I think I'll have cup noodles for breakfast. That's likely to cause my maid to say something. She always gets her two cents in for everything and anything, even for things my parents have no comment about. Kinda annoying that she has to state the obvious, viz "Oh, you having cup noodles for breakfast?" but well...whatever. It's kinda funny, she scolds my brother a lot ("Your clothes are always on the floor!" or "Don't run upstairs, the dust is coming down in the kitchen!") and my brother doesn't really seem to like her much...oh well, call me sadistic or what, but it's a tad amusing. But shouldn't be ungrateful, I know...priviledged Singaporean brats, served hand and foot. *Tsk tsk* My my my.

Dammit the keys on this thing are too loose...I keep pressing F11 by mistake and it keeps shrinking and enlarging the window. Durr. Stupid thing. *pokes it and accidentally presses F11 again* Gaah!

Must...study...destiny awaits...death impending...*bzzzzzt* System error! I like cheese! *bzzzzzzt*

So what goes on the world of Science and Technology, comrades?

Natter, natter, natter. Just finished editing my second Yale essay, woot! I'm not exactly thrilled at them, they're kinda boring essays in my opinion, but I'll leave that up to the Admissions officers to decide. *crosses fingers* His will be done though. Much as I'd like to go, and of course save myself alot of money by not sending off my other application forms, well...it's up to Him. Still debating whether to send in my art as a supplement. It's not real art in that sense, with the clay sculpting or the oil painting, it's all pencil doodles on A4 printer paper. Ah dunno. Yes, I suppose some of you have heard this rant thousands of times over, but I don't often have new stuff to whine about, so what to do? Reruns!

Mm...crappy, 16 days to A-levels. Revision a little slower than I'd like it to be, but I should be able to finish in time. Hope my memory managed to retain more than I thought from prelim revision...:S Full steam ahead!! *chugs*

Reading Karin's blog inspired me to blog again...I somehow missed out the first joys of just sitting down and letting fly everything and anything that I thought of in the day and that happened...man I'm hungry. *stomach growls* Been having good food lately...my mummy's just taken to cooking olive rice, and this really cool eggplant dish with tomato pasta sauce. A couple of nights ago she also grilled some red peppers till they were soooo juicy and sweet, and threw in some mushrooms for a delectable simple dish. Yum! Hope dinner's ready soon, this is one hungry grrrrrrl. :P

Man, I'm so proud of myself today. Had no idea if school was on, so I took the liberty of having a good night's sleep and a hearty McDonald's breakfast, then in home pants and shirt strolled into the staff room at 9 o'clock. Well, I found about a good number of my classmates there in school uniform and surmised I probably did miss something, but I found out it was just the principal's address (see Karin's blog for the amusing lowdown), so well, no loss. Mooched around the room till 11 plus, talking to the tutors and just stoning in general. The couches in the room are oh-so-comfy, they is. Barnard and crew regaled us with the memories of staff dinners long past. Man, why aren't people so nuts nowadays? Political correctness is killing off any sense of fun in this world. X( I mean, you can't say ANYTHING nowadays without offending someone or other. I bet someone was just offended by that too! And this! And that! And this again! Yaaagh! That too! *ahem*

I was just thinking how the tutors' names would make a really cool sounding band name, something out of the 1950s. "And now, ladies and gentlemen, get ready to scream for Barnard and the Barbarians!" I dunno. Flight of fancy. *shrugs* Anyhoo Mr Barnard, I bet one day you'll read this in your blog search, and if that's the case, Hi! *waves* XD

Oh wait, this is new. We have a new VP? *blanks out* What's going on? *mildly confused* What happened to Mrs Chin then? *Feels like she's in Wonderland*

Feeling kinda cuckoo now. I think the effort of typing is getting to me. *Sways* Need to conserve braincells, I have one essay for Yale Admissions left to write...everyone applying to Early Action in whichever colleges seems to have finished everything already, essays and forms and all, and they appear to be on the verge of sending off their stuff. And look at me, still with a whole essay left to produce, and not knowing if I need to get documents certified. I seem to be lagging. Nooooo!!! :( Am I slow, or are they just fast? The deadlines stipulate that you only have to POSTMARK your stuff by November 1st, for goodness sake. Or is there something I'm missing? Man, feel so out of it these days...:( Just hope to complete it in good time I do, and complete it well. I suppose it's no point in rushing and doing a bad job. Or maybe I'm just too meticulous for my own good. And not like meticulousness may get me anywhere...I think my first essay is abysmally boring, and I hate it...but I have to move on to doing the second one or I'll never get through. :( Man...this is stinky. Where's my muse when I really, really need it?

Oh nuts, I missed Samurai Jack too. :( How perfectly lousy. :( :( :(

And you're the watcher
behind my shoulder as I live, eat, sleep, love.
You hold hostage, hold hidden the shards, the ones I couldn't retrieve when the
glass canary of my heart splintered
for the first time.
You're smart. You array them
lovingly, deliberately against your face,
your eyes, supplements to your soul
your treasures, tokens, pawns, trumps.
year after year I come to take them back for they belong to
me, and I need them to be whole. I know your secret rules,
I can play your game.

Almost.

year after year the chips are down and all i have to show are bleeding hands and the scar dulled and distant, of yesterday

Look! I blogged! *pleased with self* I realize, it's not that I don't feel like blogging. I have stuff to say, things I want to say, but then I'm suddenly struck by how I don't want to have to go through the hassle of logging in and starting a session. Which is the lamest excuse. Which sounds as if I don't want to blog. Nah. Well. I don't know, what do you think? Or don't answer that.

4 days since prelims ended and I'm still bumming off, which can't be good...either I should get to organizing my studying stuff again and mugging once more so as to not screw up my A's like I kinda did my prelims (or at least I think I have...I expect it to be a case of flawed, inconsistent brilliance), or I should be working on my university application. Early Action deadline a month minus 2 days away, yarrrgh. Can't be lazy about this. :( Blob blob...*scratches head* geez there must be some serious bugs around here or something...I always get really bad scratching fits sitting at the computer.:S I don't know, maybe fleas.*pokes scalp again*

I have an invitation to a dinner party tonight. It's odd, I thought the tradition died out generations ago...well not for ACS boys, I see. At any rate, this should prove interesting. :) Youheng, I do hope you're serving edibles!

No shit, argh! Scalp itchy!!!!! :( Neck too! And chin! Arrrrghh!!!! *spasms*

Gosh I feel lazy. Somebody spank me.

Um, not literally. Just...oh nevermind, forget I said that. I'll fine whoever does that a dollar and I'll spend it on candy. Yaaaay.

Head in the clouds
Vivienne Wong was hatched on the 12th of June 1985 and hails from Singapore, which contrary to popular belief, is not a colony of Japan. Formerly of Raffles Girls' Primary and Secondary School and then of Hwa Chong Junior College's Humanities Scheme, she is currently readjusting herself to the finer points of academia (read: she hasn't studied in ages and is really overworked) in her 2nd year at Nanyang Technological University Communication Studies. However she is currently spending the semester on the snowy plains of Ithaca College, New York, and lovin' it. Otherwise, she likes talking about herself in the third person, drawing, acting, comics, watching cartoons, eating Italian food, light rock, Irish music, Broadway tunes, acoustic guitar riffs, drawing some more and singing loudly in the bathroom. On the other hand, she dislikes unmotivated people, afternoon naps, the conventional, and people who are either smelly or wearing clothes too tight for them so that they end up bulging. Contactable here.
